Open Source Search Cambridge (UK) 2011 - Meetup 1
Tuesday 3rd May 2011We're planning an evening meetup to discuss open source search.
Topics
Anything related to open source search, including (but by no means limited to) Xapian, Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch, desiging a search strategy, evalation, monitoring, deployment. We'll have several extreme experts with decades of experience between them, so come along and pick their brains.
Richard Boulton will be giving a talk on "Introduction to ElasticSearch", and there may be some other talks, but also lots of time for discussion.

The meeting will be upstairs in the CB2 coffeehouse - 5/7, Norfolk St, Cambridge, CB1 2LD. This is about 15 minutes walk from Cambridge railway station. We have the venue booked from 6.30pm, but don't plan to kick off talks until 7.30pm or so. See the CB2 website for more information on the venue.People coming
